How to Rebuild A Team Through Trading And Draft in Madden 19

2019-05-22 08:48:37

I see many beginners asking how to rebuild a team through trading and draft in Madden 19 MUT. Here, I hope to give newcomers a way to approach this game mode and make the best team through the combination of trading and draft. I'll base them off of my NYG franchise to give you a visual.

See how much cap you have - it isn't important at first, but it gives you a general idea of where you're at financially;
Pick 5-6 players you wanna make the cornerstones of your team. Even if you're tanking, you need talent for a rebuild. I went with Odell Beckham, Evan Engram, Davis Webb, Landon Collins, Olivier Vernon, and Eli Apple (typically young talent in their rookie contracts - OV being the exception);
Start trading your trash players first. If all you can get is a 7th, do it. Those lower picks will come in handy later. So Ereck Flowers, John Jerry, Orleans Darkwa, etc.
See players that are 27+ with high cap hits. Accumulate as many picks as you can (for 2017 and 2018). For the Giants, it would be players like Damon Harrison, Eli Manning, and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, for example. You should be trying to get 3rd round picks and above with these guys. Sometimes it isn't possible but trade and play around.
Finally, see the talent that is left and based on comfort, start getting picks for these folks as well. So you're thinking Weston Richburg, Janoris Jenkins, Justin Pugh... If you wanna trade them, go for it... but these guys are typically 80+ overalls with talent. You can buy these players with Cheap Madden 19 Points at Pointssale.com, a professional online in-game currency store.
After I'm done, I typically scroll through the Trade Block because sometimes, the computer is stupid and puts decent players on there. I've built teams that were almost 50 percent from the trade block. That's where all those 6th and 7th round picks I told you about come in handy. For example, I picked up this guy named Ted Karras, he was like 24 years old, 77 OVR, and Quick Dev. Gave them a 7th, and the guy was an 84 by the end of my first season. But be careful, if they have a 75+ overall and are on the trade block, most of the time it means they will be due for a contract within the next two seasons.
I normally sim my first season (I stop every week for scouting) because my team is gonna be trash anyway, but I'm not sure what you wanna do.
Drafting wise, I always prioritize O-Line/D-Line unless there isn't a need. Then I go for LBs, offensive skill positions, and secondary. One thing about Madden 17 that I noticed is that a lot of drafts have a low round QB gem... If you scout a QB in like the 5th round and he has A- THP, I'm drafting him because he'll be pretty solid.
